About

Something I’ve been meaning to update for a while.

That already tells you something – I have the best of intentions, but somehow end up getting too busy to finish off random tasks. I do prioritise, however.

I live and work in Cape Town, South Africa. I graduated from Rhodes University in Grahamstown with a Bachelor of Journalism in New Media, which is something I’m extremely passionate about. I also majored in English – specialising in Dickens, Shakespeare, Renaissance literature and the English novel.

I love languages and speak English, French and Afrikaans. I want to learn more, and thankfully I pick them up quite quickly. I know some Japanese and some sign language.

I’m currently working at Primedia Online as an online editor for Foxsoccer.com, although I do sometimes do work for iafrica.com sports, too. I’m a job NUT – I love my work, and would possibly stay here all the time if they let me!

I love good music, good literature, good films and television shows. I love settling down to have time on my own, when I can get it.

I love food – everything from pizza to roasts and desserts. Love, love, love food. In fact, if I can’t have good food, I get miserable. True story.

I’ve also recently discovered that I love fashion, although I can’t afford to stay on top of it. As shallow as it sounds, I love looking good.

I love hot baths and showers – at temperatures that are normally used to boil vegetables.

Although I work on a football website, I don’t support any teams. Although I do feel sorry for the losing team – pretty much always. I’m apparently obligated to support Chelsea, because of my brother.

Above all, I am myself.
